Our Mission

Providing care to patients in communities throughout Western Pennsylvania are the medical oncology specialists of Medical Center Clinic. Our physicians have expertise in a variety of specialty areas and practice in diverse settings throughout the region.

Medical Center Clinic's medical oncologists offer referring physicians and their patients the full range of cancer evaluation and management services, including:

evaluation for a suspected diagnosis of cancer of any type
consultation for management of any type of cancer, with particular expertise in treating patients with unusual, recurrent, and other difficult malignancies
treatment using the most up-to-date techniques for chemotherapy, biological response modifier therapy, radiation therapy and surgery
clinical trial participation for appropriate patients
drug education from our full-time staff pharmacist

Each specialist works in close collaboration with the patient's primary care physician to provide diagnostic and treatment services as close to the patient's home as possible. Multidisciplinary teams treat each patient and the patient's family to address the patient's psychosocial, emotional, physical and rehabilitation needs at each stage of illness.

The physicians of the Medical Center Clinic provide state-of-the-art hematology and oncology care in tertiary hospitals, community hospitals and suburban locations. Nearly all treatments and follow-up care is provided in these locations, enabling patients to remain in their communities, near to family and friends who can be invaluable sources of support for them.
