Diane Marie BuchBarker, M.D.Diane Marie BuchBarker, M.D. received her medical degree from UHS/The Chicago Medical School. She completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh and a fellowship in Hematology, Bone Marrow Transplant and Medical Oncology at the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute. Prior to entering medical school, Dr. BuchBarker worked as a medical surgical nurse specializing in caring for oncology patients for several years. After completing her medical training, she was a clinical instructor in bone marrow transplantation and an assistant professor of medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. She also served as the director of the National Marrow Donor Registry program at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center for five years. Dr. BuchBarker is board
certified in internal medicine, oncology and hematology. She is a member
of many professional societies, including the American Society of
Hematology, the American Society for Blood and Marrow Transplantation,
the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the Pennsylvania Society
