Mohammed Fakhrul Islam, M.D., M.S.Mohammed Fakhrul Islam, M.D., M.S., received his medical degree and a master of science in pathology degree from Dhaka University, Bangladesh. After holding consultant and teaching positions in pathology, Dr. Islam completed a residency in internal medicine at St. Francis Medical Center in Pittsburgh, PA, followed by a fellowship in medical oncology and hematology at the Pittsburgh Cancer Institute. He is board-certified in internal medicine, hematology, and medical oncology.Dr. Islam has several publications to his credit and received the American College of Physicians Associates Abstract Competition Award for Best Presentation in Clinical Cardiology in 1998.
